JAMAD FIIN, CEO & FOUNDER
As a passionate basketball player, Jamad's journey in the world of hoops began at a young age. Faced with the challenge of being a Muslim girl navigating the basketball scene, she embarked on a relentless quest for self-improvement, pushing herself to new heights every single day. Growing up, she found herself without a role model or a source of guidance on the unique challenges faced by Muslim girls in the world of basketball. Undeterred, she charted her own path, determined not to let anything stand in the way of her love for the game. Choosing to continue playing basketball while proudly wearing her headscarf was a conscious decision – a stand against conforming and a testament to her unwavering commitment to what she holds dear.
Jamad's journey has been tough, but she refuses to let the struggles she faced be the norm for younger girls following in her footsteps. This is the driving force behind the creation of Jamad Basketball Camps. She envisioned a space where young girls could be inspired to stay true to themselves, where societal norms wouldn't dictate their dreams. She wants them to understand that they can achieve anything, irrespective of how they dress, and that their skills should be the focus, not their appearance.
